Gabriela González Iglesias

 

 

Gabriela González Iglesias joined the Neuromuscular Disorders Group at Biocruces in June 2018 as a researcher.

She is interested in learning the new CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing techniques, not just as a new potential therapy, but also as a tool to generate better cell culture models.

Gabriela is a biologist; she has completed two complementary Master’s degrees: an online Master in laboratory of Human Assisted Reproduction by the University of Valencia in 2016 and the second one is a Master in Biomedical Research by the UPV/EHU in 2017.

After completing the Master in Biomedical Research, she completed the first year of a doctoral degree about male fertility at the University of the Basque Country.

Additionally, since 2014 she spent two years in the Marine station of Plentzia (PiE) and one year later she carried out work experience in the Assisted Reproduction Unit of Quirón during four months.
